I lift weights and run 5 miles a day and am able to steadily gain weight despite the running, but I’m worried that I’ll lose weight if I join the cross country team. How can I avoid this?

I’m 18 yrs. old, 5′1 and 165 pnds. Im trying to lose about 40-50 pounds to reach my ideal weight for my height. I was wondering if i could achieve this by just eating right and running and jogging the whole time?

I have 2 questions:
1.I’m about 5′1-5′2 and weigh 127 pounds..is this a normal weight for my height..whats your opinion?

I am currently on a food and exercise program. I have lost 45lbs so far and would like to lose another 45-50. I walk/run everyday, but my knee no longer wants to cooperate. The doctors are telling me no more running but I still need to do cardio. Other than bike riding, does anyone know [...]

Does it lose weight across the whole body or just tone up the legs?
I’m dieting and plan on running at least 3 or 4 times a week for an hour each time but dont know if it will help me lose weight where i need to… (the gut area)

Say person A runs a mile everyday for a month at 3pm in 90 degree weather with 90% humity.
Person B runs a mile everyday for a month at 11pm when it is 75 degrees with 30% humity.
Would person A lose MORE weight than person B? or would they lose the same? or what?

I am running about 2 miles per day with the intent of losing weight. I put on a sweatshirt to sweat more–does this actually help, or would I lose the same amount of weight just wearing a t-shirt, and in theory, sweating less. Thanks
