    Discipline.
No gimmicks, no “special” diets…but the desire to change, the willpower to act, and the discipline to keep it up and stop sitting around, consistently eating crap that isn’t good for you.

it’s actually pretty easy, if you are having trouble eating right try these:
-get the little hundred calorie packs to snack on
-if you want something bad sometimes, divide the “bad stuff into small portions so if you must give in to the craving it will atleast be in a small amount
-keep in mind that if you eat the healthier stuff, you can technially eat more with less calories
for exercise, get a step counter and try to do 2,500 a day but do it gradually, you will hardly notice you are even exercising. also, try to find some activity you enjoy doing that is active and fun. you will be much more likely to stick with it.
hope it helps and i know you can do it.

Just think positive, think of how much prettier you would look like if you were to lose weight. Bring a positive attitude in to your focus only maybe then you will see a change. Don’t work only physically to a diet but mentally.

One thing that helps me is just to take it one day at a time. If I think to far ahead I get overwhelmed. Another thing that helps is having someone to answer to, someone who will help you stay motivated and maybe even work with you exercising. The last thing I do is I don’t call it a ‘diet’ I call it a lifestyle change, it makes me feel like what I’m doing is more permanent and important. When I say ‘diet’ I feel like I’m depriving myself when in reality I eat very well and don’t miss out on anything.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your health goals!!!

All the above answers are great but what works for me is the simple “put your money where your mouth is” Ever wanted to run a Half Marathon? Triathlon? Swim? Dance? Shell out the money to an event that is in the fairly near future (3-4months away) and then train for it. If the thought of competition isnt your thing then book a vacation at a beach spot that youve always wanted to visit. Buy that bikini that you know you will look awful in unless you drop some pounds, and then work your butt off for that day when you put it on and bask in the sun looking sexy.
