Anyone Here Conceive With Pcos Or After Losing A Little Weight?

So I havePCOS and have been trying to conceive for 6 months. Is there anyone who can give me their experiences please?
For example did you conceive after going on a healthy diet or losing weight?
Thanks to everyone with useful answers.

I also have PCOS, only diagnosed one year ago but suffered all my life. It takes longer to conceive with PCOS, have you had your ovulation checked?
I charted for ages and took clomid for six months without concieving. Then conceived spontaneously after TTC for 7 years.
Did not take me this long with my other three children. Losing weight is always a good idea, for the PCOS as well as conception.
    Are you insulin resistent?
It will take you longer to conceive than normal, acupuncture has proven to work, i had a course of treatment two months before conceiving, my husband is convinced it was the acupuncture that finally did the trick. If you are over 35 you should go to your doctors and tell him you have been TTC for 6 months and have PCOS. They usually say 1 year but this is for younger women.
Good luck and I pray you will soon be blessed with a healthy baby.

    Hi,
i was trying to concieve for about a few years before i was diagnosed with pcos.i was told to lose weight i did lose a little but my doctor said women with pcos do have troubles losing weight due to insulin resistance or something. i was put on prevera to start my period than 1500mg per day of metformin due to the insulin resistance and than put on clomid i did 5 rounds of clomid first round 50mg,100mg,150mg,150mg than 200mg and was going to give myself a break for december because in january i was going to do a round with hormone injections etc. than at the start of december i went to a wedding and had some wine etc and i just almost immediatly felt like total crap. and when i got up the next day i did a preg test and got my BFP.. due the 16th August 2009.
Hang in there!!! Are you seeing a fertility specialist?
Sending LOTS OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY!!~~~~~~~

Since the process of digestion requires the use of calories for energy, sometimes the net amount of metabolizable energy available from a food is less than the gross number of calories contained in the food.
